Hotel Chocolat The Connoisseur, £30
A thick dark chocolate shell with truffle and chilli “egglets” (or miniature eggs to you and me) is the ultimate in dark choc indulgence. The egg comes in two halves – one is 82 per cent cocoa Hacienda chocolate from Ecuador, and the other is 66 per cent Madagascan cocoa. Both are thick and rich, but Fabulous’ favourite was the Madagascan side, as it was chunky and delivered a massive cocoa hit.
